Safety

Safety is paramount on the road and my driving lessons emphasise this point. The statistics for Learner drivers that transition to ‘P’s is scary enough to put anyone off driving, so I emphasise the importance of low speed, slowing down in the wet and gaining night driving experience. The more exposure learner drivers get to different scenarios, then the safer they will be in the future. Some other safety points I focus on are :

• Eye contact
• Not driving tired
• Head checks every time
• Spatial awareness
• Keeping left unless overtaking
